Information Technology Services (ITS) and Youngstown company Turning Technologies will host a Learning Forum Sept. 28 highlighting the work of Harvard University’s Eric Mazur.
The three-hour seminar, beginning at 12:30 p.m. in AW Smith 329, will provide an overview of Mazur’s teaching method, which has been adapted both nationally and internationally to many disciplines.
His pedagogical work includes “Peer Instruction,” an interactive teaching approach that has shown a substantial, measurable impact on student engagement and learning, and the “Interactive Learning Toolkit,” a web-based platform for implementing innovative teaching strategies.
