Starting a new job in the middle of a pandemic has its challenges, especially when it comes to meeting people face to face.
Case Western Reserve University President Eric W. Kaler and his wife, Karen, know this all too well.
But now that things have improved, they don’t want to miss the opportunity to get to know as many faculty and staff—in person—as possible.
To that end, all faculty and staff are invited to a Spring Open House at the president’s Harcourt House residence on Thursday, March 24. Guests will enjoy beverages and hors d’oeuvres while visiting with President and Mrs. Kaler and other colleagues.
“We’ve been eager to meet more members of our campus community,” said President Kaler. “We’re so glad that, at last, things have improved and we can welcome larger groups of guests to the house.”
Guests may sign up for one of three 45-minute shifts: 2:45 to 3:30 p.m., 3:45 to 4:30 p.m. or 4:45 to 5:30 p.m. Space is limited, so please register online by Friday, March 18.
Harcourt House is located at 2163 Harcourt Dr., Cleveland Heights, Ohio, 44106.
Guests may use four shuttles, which will run continuously from 2:15 to 6 p.m. at approximately 20-minute intervals, stopping at three different locations (which are marked in the map below):
- Linsalata Lobby at the Tinkham Veale University Center on Bellflower Road;
- the Veale Parking Garage turnabout on Adelbert Road; and
- the Health Education Campus shuttle stop on East 100th Street.
Please note that limited parking is available on Harcourt Drive. Guests are encouraged to use alternate transportation.
