Faculty and staff: Learn how to build your retirement portfolio

Case Western Reserve University and Vanguard are teaming up to help faculty and staff make the most of their retirement plans. All CWRU employees are invited to the following instructional workshops to learn how to create a strategy for achieving your long-term financial goals.

Join Your Plan

Attend an information session on Thursday, Oct. 30, or Friday, Oct. 31. Both sessions will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Crawford Hall room 209.

This session is ideal for faculty and staff members who want to learn more about joining the plan. This session will teach you to:

  • Understand the benefits of enrolling in the plan
  • Determine how much you need to save
  • Select the right investment mix for you
  • Designate your beneficiary

Smooth Transitions

Attend this information session on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2-3:30 p.m. in Mandel Center Class Room 108, or Friday, Oct. 31, 2-3:30 p.m. in Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing NOA 270.

This session is ideal for faculty three to 10 years from retiring. Attendees at this workshop will learn how to:

  • Determine how long your retirement savings will last
  • Find out whether you are saving enough
  • Invest before and during retirement

All investing is subject to risk, including the possible loss of the money you invest. Bond funds are subject to the risk that an issuer will fail to make payments on time, and that bond prices will decline because of rising interest rates or negative perceptions of an issuer’s ability to make payments.
