Explore “Paths to Peace” in Sunday’s interreligious event

Case Western Reserve University, in keeping with the university’s participation in the President’s Interfaith and Community Service Campus Challenge, will host a special celebration Sunday, Sept. 9, titled “Out of Many, One: Exploring Paths to Peace 2012.” The free, public event will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on the Kelvin Smith Library oval (rain site: Thwing Center).

Planned and sponsored by the community group Interreligious Peacemakers, the program will include music, dance, song, food and dialogue. Family activities will include a puppet show and Mr. Twister’s balloons. Free parking is available at the Ford Garage, provided by the Church of the Covenant.

The program includes a special taped message from bestselling author Eboo Patel, founder and president of the Interfaith Youth Core, who will talk about the importance of interreligious dialogue and cooperation in contemporary America.
