Experience authentic cuisine at the Asian American Alliance’s “Taste of Asia” event

The Asian American Alliance will host “Taste of Asia: Journey to the East” Friday, Oct. 5, from 6 to 9 p.m. in Thwing Center ballroom.

The event will feature cuisine native to China, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, India, Hong Kong and Japan, with food catered from Siam Cafe, Korea House/Miega, Li Wah and High Thai’d and bubble tea from Koko Bakery. Additionally, there will be Asian snacks such as Hello Panda, Ramune Japanese soda, Ramen noodles and more.

During the Taste of Asian event, attendees can take part in activities, such as lantern painting, a chopstick contest, origami, jewelry making, carnival games (ring toss, bucket throw) and a photo booth. Raffle prizes will be given every half-hour.

Tickets are on sale until Oct. 5 in Nord Hall from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is $7 for undergraduate students and $9 for graduate students and other members of the campus community.
