The Case Western Reserve University and University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center AIDS Clinical Trials Unit will host an evening with Timothy Ray Brown, the first person cured of HIV infection.
The event, which will be held Monday, Oct. 9, in Tinkham Veale University Center ballroom A, begins with a reception at 5 p.m. The formal program will begin at 6:15 p.m. and will include remarks by Brown as well as an update from Michael Lederman, the Scott R. Inkley Professor of Medicine, on the current state of the HIV cure research agenda.
