The Ethnic Studies Program sponsored a three-day seminar on literature at New York University, March 20-23.

The seminar was proposed by current Director of the Ethnic Studies Program Cheryl Toman and Founding Director Gilbert Doho.

The seminar, titled “Breaking with Capital Culture,” was selected by the American Comparative Literature Association for its conference. The seminar gathered international scholars from a variety of universities to examine the theme.

Toman and Doho will continue to work with the seminar participants to publish a new collection of essays representing ongoing research within the Case Western Reserve University Ethnic Studies Program.
