Environmental Heroes program open to applications; deadline July 23

Applications are available for Environmental Heroes, an authentic field research program for middle and high school students interested in amphibians and reptiles in the Ohio and Erie Canal Reservation.

This free research experience is a collaboration of the Cleveland Metroparks and Case Western Reserve University’s Leonard Gelfand STEM Center.

Applicants must be at least 12 years old and willing to make a two-year commitment, which includes two weeks during the summer and Tuesdays, from 4 to 6 p.m., throughout the academic year.

To be considered for an interview, applications are due by July 23.
