The new Case Western Reserve University Writers House and the Writing Resource Center invite submissions in painting, photography, drawing or mixed media (able to be displayed as a wall hanging) by students, faculty and staff for their contest. The art should represent the writing process or any other intriguing subject pertaining to writing, broadly conceived.
Artists will have chance to win cash prizes and have their work exhibited, potentially long-term, in Bellflower Hall.
The prize amounts are:
- First place: $500
- Second place: $250
- Third place: $100
- Honorable mention: $25 gift card
Submissions may be dropped off in Bellflower Hall, Room 204. The deadline has been extended to Friday, May 18. One submission per person will be accepted. To schedule a drop-off time, email email@example.com.
A panel composed of CWRU writing faculty, as well as local creative writers and artists, will judge the entries. For more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
