Enroll in a graduate-level data analytics for social impact course

New graduate course offering for Spring 2022: SASS 500/Section 103: INTRODUCTION TO DATA ANALYTICS FOR SOCIAL IMPACT

Data technologies are playing an ever growing role in health and human service delivery and policy. This class aims to empower social justice-minded graduates to influence the development and use of these tools for the social good.

In this class we will learn about the uses of data science in social services and social policy through case studies in the areas of child welfare, healthcare homelessness, and criminal justice. We will explore unequal impact, bias
and ethical frameworks.

The class can be taken as a stand-alone elective class or as part of a graduate certificate in Data Science for Social Impact.
