Enhance your English language skills with a non-credit course this spring

The Spoken English Language Programs (SELP) at the School of Graduate Studies is offering enrollment for a free, non-credit course, UNIV 402C, for spring semester. This course is designed for members of the campus community who use English as an additional language and wish to improve their level of English, gain experience in using new language skills in a supportive environment, practice using English in presentations, and increase comprehension of U.S. academic and social cultures.

The classes are open to all members of the campus community, with preference given to graduate students. The course will have two sections, meeting twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 to 3:45 p.m. and from 4 to 5:15 p.m. Enrollment is limited so that each participant has ample opportunities to speak. Spouses and partners of campus community members also are eligible to take the course if there are open seats available.
