English professors read from their books at Miami Book Fair International

Two Case Western Reserve University faculty members presented their works alongside famed authors such as Tom Brokaw and Salman Rushdie at the Miami Book Fair International Nov. 21-22.

Michael W. Clune, professor of English, read from his recently published memoir Gamelife (Farrar, Straus and Giroux). In Gamelife, Clune details how the video games of his early childhood shaped his life and worldview.

Thrity Umrigar, the Armington Professor of English, read from her latest novel, The Story Hour (Harper). Umrigar’s novel is about a psychologist who keeps herself at emotional distance from her patients, but develops a friendship with one.
