Engineering’s YeongAe Heo appointed a voting member to American Concrete Institute’s Committee 348, Structural Reliability and Safety

YeongAe Heo, assistant professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, was appointed as a voting member to the American Concrete Institute’s Committee 348, Structural Reliability and Safety.

The goal of this committee is to develop and correlate knowledge on structural safety and to make recommendations with respect to design, construction, use, and maintenance of reinforced concrete structures.

Heo will contribute to the committee’s work developing a document on reliability and safety of concrete structures to address climate change and structural aging effects.
