Rajib Paul, senior research associate in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, and Liming Dai, the Kent Hale Smith Professor in the Department of Macromolecular Science and Engineering, had their paper titled “Carbon-based supercapacitors for efficient energy storage” published in the National Science Review in May.
The paper was written with Xuli Chen, associate professor at Hunan University in Hunan Province, China; Chen and Paul previously worked with Dai in the CWRU Department of Macromolecular Science and Engineering.
The article describes the mechanism of charge storage in different types of supercapacitors, summarizes all recent developments in supercapacitor technology and details prospects in this field.
