Culminating two years of hard work by its lead organizer, macromolecular science and engineering associate professor Joao Maia, the International Rheology Congress was held last week in Lisbon, Portugal. Among the nearly 1,000 participants were seven Case Western Reserve University faculty and a dozen macromolecular science and engineering doctoral students.
The congress meets every four years and brings together the world’s leading rheologists, who study the flow of matter, to present the latest advances and developments in the field, according to the event website.
