Jennifer L.W. Carter, assistant professor of materials science and engineering, received the Bradley Stoughton Award for Young Teachers from ASM International (formerly the American Society for Metals) for her dedicated and effective instruction and mentoring of students and her impact on undergraduate education.
The award, established in 1952 in memory of an outstanding metallurgy teacher, engineering dean and former ASM president, recognizes young teachers of materials science, materials engineering, and design and processing.
Carter will accept the award at the Materials Science & Technology 2016 meeting in Salt Lake City in October.
