Case Western Reserve University students win national scientific brewing competition awards
Cleveland Plain Dealer: Chris Wirth, assistant professor in the Case School of Engineering, helped his students enter a national competition on scientific brewing. “The reason why this type of competition is at a meeting of chemical engineers is because that is one of the traditional roles of a chemical engineer—to apply the engineering sciences like heat transport, mixing basic chemistry and reaction principles and scaling it from the laboratory environment,” he said.
