Vanderhoof Professor and Chair of Civil Engineering, talks about the teamwork required to be a good civil engineer and “notes that civil engineers often have to develop solutions to community challenges, which requires negotiation and coordination with multiple parties and consideration of competing concerns.” He also said patience is necessary for civil engineers because delays are common.
