Anant Madabhushi, the Donnell Institute professor of biomedical engineering and director of the Center for Computational Imaging and Personalized Diagnostics, was recently appointed to two scientific panels.
Madabhushi joined the Food and Drug Administration’s Network of Digital Health Experts (NoDex). In this role, he will help advance digital health and artificial intelligence (AI) tools in medicine, supporting the FDA’s mission to promote and protect public health. Madabhushi also joined the recently formed Scientific Advisory Board for artificial intelligence-based software company Aiforia. He comes to the panel as one of four advisors recognized for their “world-class expertise in clinical diagnostics, personalized medicine, digital and computational pathology.” As an advisor, Madabhushi will work with Aiforia in their goal of pioneering cutting-edge AI tools to convert medical imaging into practical data.
