Engineering student’s company in the running for SXSW Startup of the Year; cast your vote now

xyla2Case Western Reserve University student Xyla Foxlin and her startup company, Parihug, are among the top 22 companies vying to be Tech.Co’s South by Southwest (SXSW) Startup of the Year.

The sophomore mechanical and aerospace engineering major has created a way to send digital hugs via high-tech teddy bears, and she’s been pitching her idea around the country, including at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January.

She will attend SXSW in Austin next week.
