The Center for Community Engagement and Learning (CCEL) encourages students to consider an alternative spring break experience to learn about community issues and engage in service opportunities.
Deadlines and costs vary per trip. Exact travel dates are specific to each program, but all will take place during spring break 2016 (Saturday, March 5, to Sunday, March 13).
CCEL offers the following alternative spring break opportunities:
- Rural community development in Nicaragua
- Criminal justice system reform in Southeast Michigan
- Environmental conservation and restoration off the coast of southern Georgia
Check out the CCEL alternative break website at students.case.edu/civicengagement/service/breaks/ to learn about these opportunities.
