Employee discounts available on voluntary insurance from MetLife Auto & Home

Faculty and staff are eligible for auto and home insurance discounts from MetLife Auto & Home. MetLife Auto & Home is the provider of a voluntary group auto and home benefit program that provides access to insurance coverage for personal insurance needs, including auto, home, landlord’s rental dwelling, condo, fire, renters, recreational vehicle, boat and personal excess liability (“umbrella”) policies. These benefits are completely voluntary, and employees can enroll at any time throughout the year.

In addition, the program gives employees access to special group discounts as well as the following program features:

  • A toll-free number, 1.800.GET.MET8, for all insurance needs, such as receiving free insurance quotes, making changes to a policy or just asking questions
  • 24-hour claim reporting
  • Extended customer service hours, including weekday evenings and Saturdays
  • Coverage employees take with them, should they retire or leave the company for another reason
  • Enhanced product coverage that is built into every auto policy
