The Professional Development Center will offer another Emotional Intelligence Series to staff and faculty this summer. The first training, “Identifying Emotions,” will take place Wednesday, June 27, from 9 a.m. to noon in Crawford Hall, Room 209.
About the workshop
Emotional intelligence, the ability to be aware of and control one’s emotion, has been shown to be an important element of high performance and improved interpersonal relationships. In this session, participants will learn how emotions affect and influence thought. They will learn about the role of identifying emotions, explore why it is critical and practice this discipline.
About the series
This is the first session in the four-part Emotional Intelligence Series. The sessions will be held on select Wednesdays throughout the summer from 9 a.m. to noon. Locations may vary. The remaining three sessions are: “Using Emotions” (July 11), “Understanding Emotions” (July 25) and “Managing Emotions” (Aug. 8).
