The Emeriti Academy will host an interactive discussion on active and meaningful aging with remarks from community leaders in their areas of expertise. All interested faculty and staff are welcome to attend.
The event will take place Thursday, April 12, from 3 to 5 p.m. in Adelbert Hall, Toepfer Room, and will be followed by a reception.
The speakers will be:
- Joy Banish, executive director of Greater Cleveland Volunteers, discussing creative volunteering;
- Robert Eckardt, retired executive vice president of the Cleveland Foundation, discussing encore careers; and
- Brian Amkraut, founding executive director of the Alvin Siegal Lifelong Learning Program at Case Western Reserve University, discussing lifelong learning.
