Economist Susan Helper extols link between manufacturing and innovation
Crain’s Cleveland Business: Susan Helper, the Frank Tracy Carlton Professor of Economics and chief economist for the Economics and Statistics Administration of the U.S. Department of Commerce, recently discussed the importance of manufacturing on innovation. The evidence is starting to show that “if you want to keep innovating, you’ve got to keep producing,” she said.
