As family members age, changes in their physical and mental state can occur rapidly without warning or so gradually that their symptoms go unnoticed. Eventually, family caregivers—those responsible for their aging relative’s well being—must take an active role in their care.
EASE@Work’s Geriatric Specialists or Adult/Elder Life Care database can help you:
- Recognize when an older relative needs help
- Communicate more effectively when hearing, vision, speech or memory are impaired and learn how to create meaningful time together
- Care for older relatives from a distance
- Talk to relatives who may resist help
- Design long- or short-term care plans
- Cope with family relationships
- Understand and locate local and national resources
