Spacecraft crashes into Mercury at insane speed
National Geographic: NASA’s MESSENGER spacecraft crashed into Mercury in April. But before that, MESSENGER made a number of discoveries, including hollows on the planet’s surface near craters. “The hollows are one of the most viscerally interesting discoveries from the mission,” said Steve Hauck, associate professor of planetary geodynamics who participated in the MESSENGER mission.
