Duo sign-in now needed for HCM and FIN

University Technology’s ([U]Tech) Information Security Office would like to remind the Case Western Reserve University community that Duo Security two-factor authentication is required (as of Feb. 5) for users signing into the HCM and FIN applications. These systems join the previously in-place VPN in using Duo for increased protection and security.

Contact the [U]Tech Service Desk with any questions at 216.368.HELP or help@case.edu.

How to enroll

Un-enrolled users will be prompted to enroll in Duo when attempting to log into HCM or FIN. Users also can register at the self-service enrolling site at webapps.case.edu/duo/webauth.py before logging into these applications.

About two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication offers an additional security measure to verify your identity in addition to your network ID and password/phrase. Duo Security provides a unique code generated by the Duo Mobile app on your smartphone as the “second factor” (other code-receiving methods also are available).
