Donate to CCEL’s food and supply drive for the Greater Cleveland Food Bank

The Center for Civic Engagement & Learning (CCEL) is hosting a new Social Change Series this school year to highlight a different form of civic engagement that contributes to social change each month.

November’s focus is philanthropy, and as part of this theme, CCEL is hosting a food and supply drive to benefit the Greater Cleveland Food Bank. The campus community is invited to drop off non-perishable food items or toiletries to the CCEL office (Tinkham Veale University Center, Suite 165) anytime Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the month of November.

The food bank’s most needed food items are beef stew, canned soup, canned vegetables, canned tuna, peanut butter and cereal.

The most needed non-food items are deodorant, laundry detergent, shampoo, toilet paper, soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste.

Those who prefer to make a financial donation, can visit the Cleveland Food Bank’s online donation page.
