Donate personal care items for Cleveland’s City Mission as part of National TRiO Day

donatable supplies The TRiO Upward Bound Program at Case Western Reserve University is sponsoring a donation drive as part of National TRiO Day.

National TRiO Day is meant to focus the nation’s “attention on the needs of disadvantaged young people and adults aspiring to improve their lives, to the necessary investment if they are to become contributing citizens of the country, and to the talent which will be wasted if that investment is not made.”

During the month of February, personal care items will be collected to donate to the City Mission at 5310 Carnegie Ave. Requested personal care items include toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, deodorant, shampoo and shaving cream.

There will be a donation collection box in Yost Hall 174, or TRiO staff members will be available to pick up donations.

Contact the TRiO Upward Bound Program office at 216.368.3750 for additional information. The last day for donation is Friday, March 8.
