As the semester wraps up, Winter REScycle 2024 provides an opportunity to give back while reducing waste. Instead of discarding items you can’t take home, donate them to help others in need.
This winter, donation boxes will be available at six campus locations: Stephanie Tubbs Jones Hall, Wade Commons, The Village House 3A, Triangle Tower 2, Fribley Commons and Carlton Commons. Students can drop off clothing, furniture and other reusable items, which will be donated to Goodwill to support their community programs.
Non-perishable food donations also are encouraged. Food collection points at these locations will benefit the Physical Resource Center (PRC), helping to address food insecurity among students and local families.
Winter REScycle is a simple way to embrace generosity and sustainability during the holiday season.
The boxes will be available through Dec. 18.
