Lambda Eta Mu will sponsor a “Red Cross Blood Battle” on Wednesday, Feb. 5, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday, Feb. 6, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Thwing Center ballroom.
As a result of weather-related blood drive cancellations, the Red Cross has experienced a shortfall of nearly 9,300 blood and platelet donations. Donations are needed to ensure blood is available for patients close to home or in other areas affected by the weather.
Donors are encouraged to make an appointment online, but walk-ins also are welcome.
All February blood drive donors will receive a free T-shirt and snacks.
