Diversity Think Forum to be held during homecoming with roundtable on African-American philanthropy

The Diversity Think Forum will be held Thursday, Oct. 8, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the Tinkham Veale University Center’s Senior Classroom as part of homecoming festivities.

The forum will be a roundtable discussion, featuring the topic “A Celebration of African-American Philanthropy.”

The roundtable will be composed of the following participants, many of whom are alumni:

  • Linda Sharpe-Taylor (WRC ’78), psychologist at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine and president of the CWRU African-American Alumni Association;
  • Margot James Copeland, executive vice president of corporate philanthropy and chair and CEO of the KeyBank Foundation;
  • Robert P. Madison (ARC ’48), president of Robert P. Madison International and Trustee Emeritus of Case Western Reserve University;
  • Kurt Karakul (LAW ’79), president and executive director of the Third Federal Foundation;
  • Dominic Ozanne, president and CEO of Ozanne Construction Company, Inc. and trustee of Case Western Reserve University; and
  • Cary Dell, manager of communications for Alcoa Forgings and Extrusions.

Marilyn S. Mobley (GRS ’87, English), vice president for inclusion, diversity and equal opportunity, will moderate the discussion.
