Diversity Resource Forum

The Office for Inclusion, Diversity and Equal Opportunity (OIDEO) will host the university’s inaugural Diversity Resource Forum Wednesday, Sept. 5, from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the Tinkham Veale University Center, Ballrooms A and B.

The forum will showcase resources, services and programs connected to the work of diversity, inclusion and equal opportunity at Case Western Reserve University. It also will provide an opportunity for CWRU schools, departments and offices to highlight their various programs and services related to inclusion and diversity.

The forum will begin with a continental breakfast followed by remarks from members of the university’s leadership. There also will be brief presentations from representatives of university academic departments and offices.

After the presentations, attendees can visit display tables where they can get additional information about campus programs and services related to diversity, inclusion and equal opportunity.

“The forum will continue our efforts toward promoting equal opportunity and pursuing the diverse and inclusive university community called for in the most recent CWRU Diversity Strategic Action Plan,” said Christopher Jones, OIDEO’s assistant vice president and director of equity. Jones is overseeing planning for the event.

All members of the campus community are invited to attend the forum. Individuals wishing to learn more about diversity and inclusion efforts and initiatives, those involved in such work across campus, and those considering new initiatives and seeking partnerships are encouraged to attend this event.
