Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Learning Group: “Myths About Research and Ways to Address Them”

Members of the Case Western Reserve University community are invited to join the Department of Population and Quantitative Health Sciences’ Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Learning Group for its next session today (June 8) from noon to 1:30 p.m. via Zoom.

Carlos Lewis-Miller, a program manager in epidemiology and biostatistics, and Rebecca Miller, project director of the Cleveland African American Prostate Cancer Project at the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center, will lead a discussion on “Myths About Research and Ways to Address Them.”

During Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Learning Group meetings, attendees discuss articles relevant to diversity issues in population health research to help participants learn how to include diverse perspectives in their research and build new collaborations and networks together.

This group is a safe space for anyone who wants to expand their knowledge and skills related to diversity, equity and inclusion and is for people who are both new to these topics in research and those who have previously worked in this space. The learning group meets the second Thursday of each month.

Email Rebecca Miller at rdm124@case.edu to be added to the calendar invite.
