Inside Business: More and more retirees are considering “encore” careers, or postretirement career reboots. “This encore program or movement is a component of this whole evolution in our society and present time, a general sort of trend of redefining retirement in the 21st century,” said Distinguished University Professor M.C. “Terry” Hokenstad. “Encore is really a programmatic way of allowing seniors to be both active and contributing in society.”
