Discuss social, legal implications of sports-team names Oct. 30

The Black Law Students Association will host “Redskins and Indians: Not Just a Trademark Issue” on Thursday, Oct. 30, at noon in the School of Law, room 158.

A panel of experts will discuss the Washington Redskins and Cleveland Indians trademark issues and potential business and marketing options available to sports entities. Topics covered also will include trademark law, business methods and marketing options as well as the constitutional implications of legal mandates on sport trademarks.

The event is free and open to the public. Food will be provided.
