This month, we welcome the Class of 2023 to Case Western Reserve University. To help welcome our newest students to campus, each week in August, we’ll highlight a fact about Discover Week (formerly known as orientation).
Last night, the Class of 2023 participated in one of the most recognizable Discover Week traditions: spelling out “CWRU” on DiSanto Field (as shown at the start of today’s issue of The Daily). The moment serves as the class photo for the group.
The tradition creates a common memory for CWRU students, with some upperclassmen heading to the top of the Lot 46 parking garage to watch the newest class participate.
Also during the event, orientation leaders do a Boogie, a tradition each year when the group breaks into dance during a welcome event for the new students.
