The Social Justice Institute will host a talk on the different trajectories of young mothers Tuesday, March 1, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in Crawford Hall, Room A13.
Mary Patrice Erdmans, associate professor of sociology, will give a lecture titled “Blaming, Shaming and Explaining Teen Moms,” which will cover the complex and overlapping pathways to becoming a teen mom and the systemic inequalities that impact early childbirth.
This event, part of the Social Justice Institute Research Lunch Series, is free and open to the community.
While drinks and dessert will be provided, guests are encouraged to bring their own lunch.
