Discover how eye diseases impacted some of history’s most famous artists at Oct. 14 talk

Jonathan LassJonathan Lass, the Charles I. Thomas Professor and former chair of the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences and medical director Eversight Ohio, will give a talk Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 6 p.m. at the Allen Memorial Medical Library’s Cleveland Health Sciences Library.

Lass’ talk, “The Eye of the Artist,” will explore the impact of eye diseases on famous artists and the impact on their style and productivity, changing the history of art. Lass will specifically discuss Camille Pissarro, Claude Monet, Edgar Degas and Georgia O’Keefe.

A reception will follow the discussion in the Dittrick Museum of Medical History gallery.
