Miles for Melanoma 5K taking place at Edgewater Beach in Cleveland
WKYC: Gary Schwartz, director of the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center, talked about why he was participating at the Miles for Melanoma 5K. “There are two objectives today—one is to increase awareness. Melanoma is a preventable disease with proper skin cover, especially in the summer.” Schwartz said. “We need to make people aware that they can prevent melanoma. 90% of melanoma is preventable. The other objective is to raise money for research in the area.”
