MSN: Ian Charnas, director of innovation and technology for Sears think[box], suggested that 3-D printing could help contribute to the effort to provide ventilators to those ill with COVID-19: “The electronics, the software and the motors are gonna be the harder part to come by,” he said, adding that ventilator designs would like require metal, nylon, sensors, specialty electronics and software that would need to be calibrated by health professionals.
