Did You Know: Greater Circle Living Program

Throughout July, we will highlight several different discount programs available to the Case Western Reserve University community. Check back throughout the month to learn more about programs that can help you save money and take advantage of resources available to you.

Case Western Reserve University is a participating employer in the Greater Circle Living Program, which is administered by the Fairfax Renaissance Development Corp. and encourages those working in University Circle to live within a designated geographic area surrounding campus.

This one-time benefit provides eligible CWRU employees with an opportunity to receive assistance with home purchase, rental costs or exterior home repair.

The home purchase assistance benefit provides employees with a forgivable loan of $20,000—with an additional $10,000 available based on household income through the Working Families Supplement—for the down payment. The home must be the employee’s primary residence.

Through the rental assistance, employees can get a one-month reimbursement of rent up to $1,400.

Current homeowners can receive a grant of up to $8,000 to complete renovations on the front of the property. The home must be the employee’s primary residence.

All of these benefits are limited to a designated geographic area. Review the map.
