Members of the Case Western Reserve University community are invited to the Department of Defense Research Symposium: “Advances in Biomedical Research” Aug. 18–19.
This symposium will bring together Northeast Ohio’s leading biomedical researchers to illustrate and define the most significant future technology areas of biomedical, health and human performance sciences for academic and United States government research. The symposium will focus on Department of Defense (DOD)-themed biomedical research involving Case Western Reserve University, its affiliate hospitals and its DOD partners. The goal is to reconnect and create conversations and collaborations in biomedical research.
Intended participants include industry and government partners, students, postdocs, faculty, research staff and administrators from Case Western Reserve University, University Hospitals Medical Center Cleveland, the MetroHealth System, the Cleveland Clinic, the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center and across Ohio. Highlighting the translational nature of DOD research, the symposium will support a poster session for graduate students and postdocs that focus on translational research, product development, and commercialization.
