Andres Pinto, chair and professor of oral and maxillofacial medicine and diagnostic sciences, along with an interdisciplinary team of health professionals, recently received the Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, Oral Radiology Journal Millard Award.
The award was selected by the journal’s editorial board to spotlight the best publication for July 2019–June 2020 in oral medicine. Pinto and his team won for their study titled “Risk Factors for Caries Development in Primary Sjogren’s Syndrome.”
The publication is the only major dental journal providing a practical and complete overview of the medical and surgical techniques of dental practice in oral surgery, oral medicine, oral pathology and oral radiology.
