Deadline to apply for child care subsidy is 5 p.m. Oct. 31

As a reminder to the university, the deadline to apply for the $600 child care subsidy is 5 p.m. Oct. 31. The subsidy is designed to offset additional child care costs incurred due to the employee’s school district choosing to conduct their courses remotely.

The subsidy is available for staff and faculty earning less than $100,000 who have children in kindergarten through fourth grade. Staff members applying must be full-time and working on campus and faculty members are required to be teaching a formal course during the fall semester.

Documentation outlining proof of the school district and school’s decision to go remote (such as a letter or email from the district and school or a printout from their website) as well as receipts from the child care facility or provider are required.

The child care subsidy request form and documentation should be submitted to AskHR@case.edu no later than 5 p.m. Oct. 31 in order to be considered. Final determinations and reimbursements will take place in November or December.
