David A. Bowers Economic Forecast Luncheon

With President-elect Donald Trump and his administration starting in January, gaining insight about the U.S. economy in the year ahead is vital for business leaders in banking, financial services, law, health care and manufacturing. The annual David A. Bowers Economic Forecast will provide perspective on the factors driving the nation’s economic outlook.

The event will be held Friday, Dec. 9, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel (24 Public Square).

Mark Sniderman, executive-in-residence and adjunct professor of economics, will make the economic forecast. Sniderman is the former executive vice president and chief policy officer for the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland.

In addition to Sniderman’s forecast, Peter Ritchken, professor of banking and finance, will discuss the effects of the recession toward the end of the last decade and the fragility of financial markets.

Scott Cowen, Case Western Reserve trustee and former Weatherhead School of Management dean, will moderate the discussion.

Tickets are available for online purchase.
