NPR: Jennifer Carter, assistant professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the Case School of Engineering, said new research into why sharp, metal razor blades are dulled by soft hair is “beautiful” work, but also a controlled experiment and that “other factors might contribute to dulling of a razor blade in the real world.”
