Dance department members take the stage Nov. 9-11, 15-17 for ”Facets”

On Thursday, the Case Western Reserve University Department of Dance will kick off two weekends of performances of Facets.

The dance concert will feature a new work, “Remote Encounters,” by faculty member Gary Galbraith; “Hello/Goodbye,” a new piece by Shannon Sterne to showcase the undergraduates; a reconstruction of “Views of the Fleeting World” by noted choreographer Pascal Rioult; and a new work featuring Mather Dance graduate students, titled “Blue Tunnel” by guest choreographer Jim Hansen.

The shows are on Nov. 9, 10, 15, 16 and 17 at 8 p.m. as well as Nov. 11 at 2:30 p.m. All performances take place at Mather Dance Center. Tickets are $5 for students, $7 for seniors and CWRU personnel and $10 for general admission, although student discounts are not available for Nov. 17’s show.
