Philosophy scholar to speak at Issa Lecture, ethics brown bag lunch this week

Cynthia Willet flyerCynthia Willett, professor in the Department of Philosophy at Emory University, will present the third biennial Issa Lecture in environmental philosophy today at 4:30 p.m. in Clark Hall, Room 309.

The lecture is named after a Case Western Reserve University student who majored in philosophy, studied pre-law and who had an abiding love of the environment.

Willett will discuss her work on interspecies ethics, born out of a period of study and collaboration with evolutionary biologists at Emory University.

More information about the lecture is available at humanities.case.edu/events/cynthia-willett/.

Willet will hold a special session of the Ethics Table brown bag lunches on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 11:30 a.m. in Thwing Center, Meeting Room A.
